What is a brushed steel handle?
Brushed steel handles come in a variety of shapes and sizes and all different styles to suit your kitchen design and function. The biggest difference with a brushed steel handle over other styles is that brushed steel is it’s own unique finish. Like pewter or copper handles were the rage not that long ago, brushed steel was developed to go into many different kitchen styles and with the added benefit of suiting different colours and being extremely robust to cope with high usage.
Brushed steel is metal with a unidirectional satin finish. It is produced by polishing the metal with a 120–180 grit belt or wheel then softening with an 80–120 grit greaseless compound or a medium non-woven abrasive belt or pad.
