Invented in the 1930’s as a new way of making coffee accessible to the Italians craving their shot of espresso, the Moka coffee pot is an exclusive accessory that we sell in our showroom in Waverton, Chester. Keeping the design of the 1930’s art deco movement to this very day, the system is simple, easy to maintain and gives a great coffee taste that no instant coffee could replicate; even it tried really, really hard.
Stefano and his family have championed Italian style, quality and the nation since coming here in the 1980’s and the Moka is just another extension of the pride and love for his and his families origins. Whilst he is proud to be Italian he is also proud of the welcome and opportunity this country has given to him. Working for some of the largest, independent kitchen businesses this country has seen, Stefano has built entire companies across the North West of England since the 1970’s. You may have heard of Deluso kitchens, Styal and even Kitchen Queen; Stefano has been at the forefront of each of these businesses, building their quality and production whilst designing new and original doors for materials that only thirty years ago seemed foreign and today are standard practice.
But what does this have to do with Moka? Stefano has always made sure there is a Moka on the go, whether that is in the morning, for an afternoon pick me up or even an after dinner coffee delight. It’s quintessentially Italian and like the way he works with clients, getting to understand them, their needs and how they live in the kitchen, he thinks that every house should have one; we checked his cupboard, there must be at least 13 on the go…
From 2 to 6 cup varieties we have stock of these machines and in the not too distant future, we will be working with a unique supplier from Naples, Stefano’s home city, in the selling of unique espresso cups and saucers unavailable anywhere on the market.
